Elizabeth Hayley has over 20
years’ experience as a professional musician since leaving The Royal
Academy of Music in London where she studied.
Her busy international schedule, as
both a classical and jazz pianist, has included playing at the inaugural World Clown Congress in Sweden, giving recitals across the UK,
directing a successful concert series at Weycroft Hall, Axminster,
touring Ireland with ‘Side by Side’ by Sondheim, accompanying the Somerset chamber choir ‘Amici’ in Italy & France, and
she has performed in a diverse range of venues including the Pump
Rooms in Bath, Toronto airport, The Ivy in London, & the Hannibal Palace
Hotel, Tunisia.
Clients have included BMW, Nissan, The
National Trust, The National Youth Music Theatre, Friends of the
Phil, Somerset Opera, UK Rotary Clubs, & Ridley College Toronto
- where she returned in 2007 to give an acclaimed series of
workshops, masterclasses, & recitals.
Elizabeth is part of the classical duo
'Panache' with cellist Keith Tempest, and in June 2008 they gave
a stunning performance of the
Rachmaninov Sonata for the Milverton
Concert Society. Her popular jazz trio, with Ron Prentice
(bass) & Jonty Hedges (drums)
delights audiences with their spontaneous style & sense of fun,
& are available for weddings and corporate functions. In
July 2008 Elizabeth founded 'Somerset Voices', a local community
project which encourages people of all ages and abilities to
come and sing, and also to raise money for St Margaret's
Somerset Hospice. Their inaugural concert raised £800.
As a Musical Director Elizabeth has won
awards for Chorus and received nominations for best MD - the
most recent success was the NODA Wilfred Roe Trophy for Chorus
singing in 'TAOS' productions of 'The Mikado', she returns as MD
in Yeomen of the Guard in 2009.
Elizabeth is delighted to hear from any
charities who would like to discuss musical events for
fundraising, and she is always happy to discuss individual
requirements for weddings, parties, & functions.'
